Mikrotik V7 removing a bad static route via command line

Mikrotik V7 removing a bad static route via command line

Recently I fat-fingered a route in a Version 7 Mikrotik router. As a result, I was kicked out and could not connect via winbox. The router was still up, but I could not route to it. I was able to mac-telnet and get into the router. When I went to /ip/routes and did a print. You will notice when you do this that there are no numbers beside anything. If you are familiar with V6 Mikrotik, you know you can do “remove 4” to remove the route labeled 4, as long as it’s not dynamic. So how do you do this in v7?

/ip route remove [find gateway="192.168.1.1"]

or

/ip route remove [find dst-address="192.168.1.5/32"]
